Concrete Software Releases PBA® Bowling Challenge for Android

Minneapolis, MN – January 16, 2013 – Concrete Software, developers of rock solid mobile games, and the Professional Bowlers Association are pleased to announce the release of PBA Bowling Challenge on the Google Play store.

Concrete Software has partnered with the PBA twice before to create games for mobile that allow players to bowl against PBA greats like Pete Weber, Walter Ray Williams, Jr., and Mike Fagan. Their most recent outing takes that winning formula further with improved graphics, updated physics, and a robust tournament system.

“Playing PBA Bowling Challenge is like watching the PBA on TV – very addictive,” said PBA Commissioner Tom Clark. “I know our fans will enjoy the updates in the game that make it more and more like the real thing.”

With more bowling balls, venues, and PBA stars than previous titles, PBA Bowling Challenge expands on every aspect of game content, while still retaining core elements that fans of the franchise have come to expect.

“This is a big step forward for our relationship with the PBA license,” said Keith Pichelman, CEO of Concrete Software. “We’ve updated our 3D engine for this title and revamped everything from alley textures and ball attributes to pin physics and opponent AI. Our previous PBA titles have been a great way to let players bowl virtually against the big names in the sport, but PBA Bowling Challenge takes it a step further and introduces a Career Mode that moves through the ranks of a tournament system to create a fully featured player progression.”

PBA Bowling Challenge is available now on the Google Play store.

  1. The Sponsor Ball is the Concrete Software bowling ball! It’s the first ball under “Ticket Turbos”. Thanks for playing!

  2. Davidg says:

Question, when its says use the sponsor ball to get a strike, what does that mean? what is the sponsor ball? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I’m kind of stuck. Thanks for any comments or advice.

  3. cameron says:

How do you do the challenge in the chameleon open? Its confused me the way it is worded

  4. Jake says:

Aaron: That is correct. You need to complete all of the challenges as well.

tqmon: The sponsor ball is grey and has a Concrete Software ‘C’ on it. It is a level 6 ball, so you will find it near the top/middle of the balls list.

    Good luck, guys!

  5. tqmon says:

What is a sponsor ball? I am in PBA Regionals West in the Shark Open SW. The challenge is to get a strike with the ‘Sponsor Ball’. How do I use that ball? I cn’t find it in the list of balls available. Thank you.

  6. Aaron says:

How do you get the 40th ball to appear? I won all the tournaments and I guess I will have to complete the challenges or something?

  7. Jake says:

Hey Matt, It has to be 4 strikes in a row, and then you get rewarded with 100 tickets. Good luck!

  8. Matt says:

Just bought the grand slam ball, I have had 12 strikes using it but the ball bonus hasn’t worked. Is it broken?

  9. Jake says:
